Day trip!

We decided to drive up to Yellowstone one day, because we hadn't been up there yet, and since we are moving, probably won't really get the chance again. Above, Jason and the wolf staring eachother down.

There we are with two wolves in the background. (above)

In the picture above, way back behind us are two really big grizzly bears

Graduation!!

Jason Graduated today, from the BYU-I Paramedic Program! He and another student from his class spoke, and they did a pinning cremony where they recieved their Paramedic badge, and I got to pin him. Jason also recieved the Paramedic of the Year Award!! It was very neat to watch him go up and get his plaque. You could tell he was a little shocked, and I was very proud of him!!! Jason's parents were able to come up for his Graduation, and it has been nice having them here. I know it meant a lot to Jason.
This year has gone by so fast. I am surprised that we're already here. I am so excited for Jason to get to move on and get started on his internship, take his National test and start applying for jobs, because I know how much he really enjoys what he is doing. It's such a blessing for him to enjoy it so much, and to be excited for his career.
With his Paramedic schooling, he almost has his Bachelors Degree. He just has one more semester and he will officially have it. So he is planning on doing that online. He has also talked about getting on as a Flight Medic. He has already taken extra Critical Care classes in preparation for that. It takes being at the top of your game to be a Flight Medic, which obviously is the allure to Jason. He would work at a Fire Department, and work a couple of shifts as a Flight Medic in Tri-Cities here and there. Or travel to spokane about once a week for a shift. He just has to work a few years as a paramedic before that.
Well that's our life's excitment right now! We are finished!!! Yay! We're coming home-Washington Watch out!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The view out our back door of the beautiful snow! We just hope the roads are clear for Jason's parents coming for his Graduation! But it was very exciting to wake up to a couple of inches of snow! I have the Christmas tree lit up, and Christmas music playing, and really hope it stays, so we can have a White Christmas! I mean, a Green Christmas in REXBURG-that's just ridiculous!
Jason leaving for one of his last days of school in the first real snow of the season. (in just a sweatshirt, silly kid)

A baby for us?

Want to see what our baby looks like? Not a real one silly, just a virtual one. We found this place to put in your pictures and see what your kids might look like. We thought it was really funny, so we posted it. But we had to put it way at the bottom of the page, so scroll down and look at the cutie. Actually it's a little creepy, and that red hair is a little random...but we thought it was kinda fun!

Ahh Christmas is here...

We decorated our tree for family home evening tonight! "lot's of fun." -Jason say's when he actually got to do somthing, he enjoyed it. Well at least I let him put the candy canes on. I'm a control freak, I know it. But he did opt to do everything but decorate the tree. He made dinner while I decorated it. He says his job was done after he set it up in the stand. So it worked out pretty good. We listened to Christmas music all the while, and I thought we should have hot chocolate and eat candy canes, just in the spirit of things, but neither of us were craving either. So that's as festive as we got. The tree is not quite done, I have a couple more stars left to finish making, but I doubt I'll get to them tonight. Hope everyone is doing well, we miss you all, Merry Christmas, and we'll see you soon!!!

Hello everyone! We're still alive! Just been up to the same old. We're just counting down to Jason's graduation and then how long until we get to come home! We really like it here, but we miss being around the family and friends in Washington. So, not too long (13 weekdays)until Jason's Paramedic Pinning, on Dec. 10th, and only about 22 actual workdays for me until we move! Yay!

Happy Halloween!!!

So here we are in our Vampire, Vampiress costumes! I think we had the most fun just getting ready. We went to a party Alise & Juan had invited us to, and they had pool, food, pumkin carving, and bobbing for apples. Jason dunked his whole head in because he "had to win" and owing to the fact that we had sprayed his hair black, the water quickly turned black as well, and that was the end of that game. He cracks me up, but what a waste of all the efforts doing up his hair and face. Geez. Such a boy. After that, we dropped by Colby & Trisha's to say Trick or Treat. It was a fun Halloween!
We took these pictures when we got home at the end of the night, so we don't look quite as good as we did to start off. My hair was really a lot bigger than this, I had a white strand through my hair that you can't see anymore, and Jason lost one of his fangs, as you can tell in the first picture. Oh well.

Witches, Ghouls, Goblins & such...

Halloween is around the corner; I am so excited for it. I can't wait to dress up for it. We are planning on being vampires. I had mentioned to Jason that he should dress up as a vampire since he was always grabbing my arms and trying to look at my veins (trying to see if he could "stick that one"). I always pull away, calling him a vampire, and tell him to stay away from my veins. Ew it makes me queasy. So I was joking about it, and he liked the idea. So then I was going to be a vampiress, and have a big bite mark on my neck. So we'll see how it turns out.

We did go to Keldon and Melanie's Halloween party on the 24th, which was lots of fun. Costumes were required, but I hadn't finished getting all the stuff for our vampire outfits, and I didn't feel like going all out, since I had just got off work, so I dressed up in camo and went as a hunter, and Jason was supposed to go along with it and be a deer. We were going to put a big bulls eye on his chest, but he last minute decided not to, and went as a firefighter. Big stretch for him, I know. But I guess if he's still not sick of being a firefighter, thats a good thing, and I hope he never gets sick of it till its time to retire. Anyways, at the party, we had a couples doughnut eating contest, where you eat it off the string together and (Jason is very competitive) needless to say, I ended up with doughnut smashed all over my face. Then, we had a pumkin carving contest, and ended with a scary movie. So we had fun!

It is October 12, and it is SNOWING here in Rexburg. It has been snowing all yesterday and last night. Yup, it's actually sticking too. Crazy. But, it means that winter is fast approaching, and December will be here very soon! Jason will be finished with school, and we will be COMING HOME!! We are so excited for that, although I will be sad to leave the whole college student vibe behind. I will miss going to pi-yo and abs that rock with Alise! That has been really fun. And of course, our get-togethers and rock band fun with Juan & Alise and Colby & Trisha! We are really going to miss that.

Last night, Jason threw me a surprise Birthday party at Trisha and Colby's house! Jason bought pizza, Alise and Juan brought pop, and Trisha made me a really cute birthday cake! It was so nice of all of them. Yes, my birthday was actually the 4th, but it was not a great day, so we re-celebrated! So thoughtful of them all. And I really have to give kudos to Jason-he is so sweet for thinking of that!

Aladdin, Live!

Of course we couldn't take any pictures while they were performing, but it was neat, especially when the magic carpet started flying and elephants came tromping down the aisle. Not real, of course, but really well done.

Jason being a Pirate. aarrgh.

This last one was one of our favorite rides-The Hollywood Tower Hotel (The Tower of Terror)
On the ride Autopia above.
Jason in front of the Disneyland Fire dept. and me in front of the Disney Princess Castle, trying to figure out where to go next.

These were in tunnels in some pirates' island. You had to take a boat over to it, and I got a little splashed.

Disneyland Parade

Disneyland

Here is us looking dorky, wearing the 3D glasses from the animated short movie. You can see behind us, we are in an ant tunnel. The show was called "it's tough to be a bug" and was really fun. You get sprayed with water, and stung by a bee ( the seats come out and actually poke you.) Then you can feel cockroaches scurrying at your feet.

Everything was proportional for as if you were a bug. Like this water faucet and watermelon rind. The buildings were painted to look like old food cartons, and tissue boxes.
I can't figure out how to turn these pictures.

Camping at Heise

Ew I don't like any of the pictures with me in them, but it was a fun camping trip, so I should put them up anyhow. We had just gotten back from swimming in the picture above, and below is apretty view we found on the way back down the mountains, heading home.

Top to bottom: 1)Hammock in Maui. 2) You can't see it, but the captain actually let Jason drive for the couple of seconds it took to take the picture. He thought that was pretty cool...only he's not watching where he's going...3) Here is a picture of the pool at our Hotel. Soo pretty, huh? 4) At the Royal Lahaina Luau 5) All of us on the boat that took us on a snorkeling day trip around to other smaller islands-well not all of us, obviously I'm the one taking the picture.

Hawaii!!

I accidentally erased all the Hawaii pictures, so here they are again. Top to bottom: 1) Outside our Hotel and right on the beach! 2) HUGE tree by the markeplace on the boardwalk. 3) That's me doing a flip on the big trampoline 4)Garrett, Chad, and Jason getting ready to rock climb. 5) Chad, Garrett, and Jason trying to rock climb. They actually did pretty good, considering I could'nt even climb up 2 feet. Literally.
